Our Quail:

We offer two main quail breeds: Coturnix and California (Valley).

Each has unique characteristics, making them suitable for different purposes. Learn more about each breed below.

Coturnix quail

Hardy, fast-growing, and incredibly productive layers, they come in a wide range of colors—like Pharaoh, Italian, Tibetan, Rosetta, Snowy, Falb Fee, and many more. These quail are ideal for small farms and backyard keepers.

Celadon quail

Also Coturnix, Celadon quail carry a special recessive gene that produces beautiful blue-tinted eggs. Any Coturnix variety can be “celadon” as long as they inherit that gene. Mixed flocks yield surprising color and pattern combinations in chicks and eggs.

California quail

Oregon’s state bird, these quail are a wild species known for their iconic teardrop-shaped head plume and soft gray bodies. Primarily kept for ornamental aviaries, conservation breeding, or enjoyment of their natural behavior.

WHY ARE OUR BIRDS SPECIAL?

We're glad you asked. Our quail and eggs come from an NPIP-certified flock, raised under strict health monitoring. Free-ranging in natural sunlight with a varied diet supports vibrant, active birds and produces rich, beautiful eggs. We are proud to offer quail and eggs that reflect the highest level of care from start to finish.

Coturnix: Perfect for beginners

Coturnix quail are excellent for beginners due to their fast maturity, early egg production, compact size, quiet nature, and productive laying. They are versatile for both eggs and meat, making them an ideal choice for small farms, suburban lots, or tighter homestead setups.
